Developing a Viable Disability Care Ecosystem – Peter Aughton – This approach to business ecosystem development is based upon ‘Open Systems Theory’ (OST) and STS principles of ‘Participative Design’. An important fact highlighted in this paper is that complex business ecosystems are often unmanageable without a state-of-the-art IT platform.

- Pava – Sociotechnical Systems Design for the Digital Coal Mines – This working paper provides a historic overview of Cal Pava’s seminal contributions to the STS design of non-routine knowledge work.
