Remembering Our Dear Friend and Colleague, John J Cotter
We lost John on January 30th, 2023 and share great sadness at his passing. He was a remarkable man who remains a great presence in our lives. He will be sorely missed.
John J. Cotter, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on January 30, 2023, at his home in La Jolla, CA, at the age of 85.
Biography
Retired Organization Design Pioneer and Management Innovator; International Consultant, Executive Mentor and Coach; Inventor and Patent Holder; Corporate Executive; Entrepreneur, Company Founder; University Researcher and Teacher; Vistage Speaker & Chairman; Best Selling Author; Public Speaker; Board Member; and most important of all, long-term Husband, Father and Grandfather.
Specialties: Facilitated organization design and redesign initiatives across the globe for Fortune 100 companies; Coached senior managers and business owners in building more profitable companies; Helped them attract, develop and retain the most talented employees in their industries.
Also served on the board of directors of Ismeca, a Swiss-based assembly equipment company with operations in Europe, Asia and the United States, of The American Institute for the Advancement of Leadership at San Diego State University, on the board of advisors of Modernia.com, and on the startup board of John Paul The Great Catholic University in San Diego.
John has worked with clients in Australia, Canada, China, the Dominican Republic, England, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.
